Director of Rugby hailed his side’s first half display as Saracens steam rolled Bath with four first half scores as they won 31 – 17.
“First of all we were strong everywhere” said McCall.
“We recognised that the set-piece was a great strengths of theirs over the first few weeks of the season so I thought we dealt we that pretty well. Our line-out was superb our maul defence was superb, our scrum in the first half was very good and we had a platform on which to play off.
“We ran with great intent” he added. “We got quick ball and almost all of the first half. Our decision making on the ball was good, we made really good decisions when we had ball in hand and we benefited from that”.
Saracens have scored 13 tries in the first three fixtures, and McCall was happy with the teams attacking approach.
“Our attacking system since last year is different” revealed McCall. “We did make a big change in the summer and we made the changes as we felt that the old system handicapped some the players we have – we wanted to come up with something that got our good ball carriers on the ball more often.
“It’s a work in progress but I think you could that we had the like of Schalk Brits, the two Vunipola’s hands on the ball and our back-line saw more ball, so we are much more flexible in attack now”.
