Saracens flyers Chris Ashton and David Strettle praised their sides performance after a bonus point win against London Irish at Twickenham Stadium.
“I’m happy to get over but I’m more happy that we got the five points – scoring four tries in our first game is a great way to start the season” said try scorer Chris Ashton.
“I’m feeling good at the moment. I’ve had a good preseason and I was really looking forward to getting out on the pitch again, as it’s felt like such a long time away”.
“It’s always good to sneak over your first game – let’s hope it carries on” added the England winger.
Fellow winger David Strettle was also left happy with Saracens first win of the season; “It was by no means a complete performances, but to secure a try scoring bonus point is a great result for us”.
“Even more pleasing is seeing some of the work we have been doing during the preseason come to fruition – we have plenty to work on and we know that we have to keep on improving.”
The 30 year-old winger added “We will enjoy our win but our attention now switches onto our next game”.
