Wray looking forward to London Welsh clash
It’s one of the most fiercely contested areas in the Saracens squad, but Jackson Wray is keen to build on what has been an impressive run of performances in the back row, starting with the visit of London Welsh to Allianz Park on Sunday, kick off is 2.15pm.
Despite an ankle injury suffered at Worcester earlier this season, the 22-year-old has battled his way back to full fitness and has picked up where he left off on his return to action.
“Apart from the set-back with my injury, the last year has been pretty good,” explained the Essex raised back row. “I’m feel I’m starting to make an impact in the team in what is a competitive area within the squad, and I feel that my game has come along leaps and bounds due the calibre of players who are around me, and hopefully I can continue to do so.
“I feel like I was playing some of my best stuff before the injury and I hope that now I’m back playing, I can kick-on and reproduce some of the form and establish myself in the side. It's also important we build on our recent performances as we really enter the business end of the season - and that starts against London Welsh on Sunday.”
A very limited number of tickets remain on sale for Sunday's game - click here for more.
