Taking time out their pre-match preparation for this weekend’s trip to Harlequins, Saracens stars Jackson Wray and Chris Wyles were on hand to help the children of the Totteridge Academy, St James Catholic High, Wren Academy and Compton Schools.
“It was great to come here and see some really enthusiastic kids enjoying themselves playing rugby” said Wyles.
He added; “After seeing them in action first hand it was fantastic seeing them get their hands on the ball and have a good time – there were some really talented rugby players out there today”.
The BLAST fixture night was organised and delivered by the Saracens Sport Foundation with the support of community partner Sopra Group; promoting rugby and employment opportunities in the local community.
Sopra Group has sponsored the Saracens BLAST Rugby Development Programme since 2011 and more recently sponsored the employment of two apprentices to fulfil the Community Coaching Apprenticeships for Saracens Sport Foundation. The apprentices will be focused on supporting and developing the Saracens BLAST programme.”
