80 minute man Alo happy with 'tough' win
Saracens Academy prop Biyi Alo produced a stunning 80 minute performance in his sides 9-21 win against the Ospreys in round two of the LV=Cup.
On his full-debut for the club, the England U20s tighthead prop was the cornerstone of a superb Saracens set-piece display at a rain-affect Gnoll.
Speaking after the game, Alo said; “It was very tough out there tonight, especially as they’re a team who like to play up front and use their maul and set piece to attack us. We expected that, and I thought we stuck together really well and toughed it out. It was a great win.
"The set-piece went really well. To come here and do that is brilliant, any Welsh side pride themselves on the scrum and their front five, but we kept to our collective plan and really caused them some problems."
He added; “It’s been really good to be involved being in the set-up. I’ve picked up so much already over these last two weeks and as it’s great to be working day-in-day out getting ready for a performance like tonight’s.”
