A marathon effort for the Foundation

Congratulations to all the runners who took part in the London Marathon on Sunday for the Saracens Sport Foundation.

In all, seven people took part in the event to help raise an incredible £15,329 for the Saracens Sport Foundation.

We would like to congratulate and thank our runners for finishing in the following times Richard Roberts-Jones (3 hours 7minutes), Jack Baird (5 hours 37 minutes), Craig Farrow (4 hours 36 minutes), Steph Gill (5 hours 12 minutes), Colinda Brits (3 hours 56 minutes), Dianne Readings (4 hours 31 minutes) and William Harvey (3 hours 55 minutes), for all taking part in the London Marathon and crossing that finish line.

Runner Craig Farrow said: “A marathon is long and hard, undoubtedly a difficult challenge but one with many incredible rewards; at the back of your mind, when it starts to get really tough, you can’t help but focus on why you have chosen to do this, and the motivation to complete for the Saracens Sport Foundation kept me going from 22 miles until the finish.”

Another runner for the foundation, William Harvey said “the atmosphere was just great, the crowds were amazing and seeing young and old compete is truly inspiring. The thought of raising money for the Foundation was powerful”
