Allianz Park to host Ignatians Big Day Out
Allianz Park will be playing host to a twelve hour rugby-a-thon this weekend, when local club Enfield Ignatians host their Big Club Day Out festival at the home of Saracens.
The day will include 13 games ranging from mini’s and juniors with the climax of the day being the floodlit London Two North-East league clash between the Ignatians' first team and Saffron Walden at 7.30pm.
Speaking to the clubs official website Harold Pritchard, the Ignatians' youth chairman said; "This will be the largest event our club has ever organised and it's a massive exercise in logistics. For example, in order to meet the demands of a demanding schedule, the first game will kick-off at 9.15am which will be the prelude to 12 hours back-to-back rugby.
"This will mean that every single of the 600 players in the club, ranging from four to 64, will get a game against different opposition".
Becky Hall, Saracens Stadium Sports Co-ordinator "Allianz park look forward to welcoming Enfiled Ignatians and all its members for what promises to be a fantastic day out. Allianz Park Stadium and our world class sports facilities will be fully utilised allowing access to each and every member of Enfield Ignatians for their inaugural event with us. We look forward to over 600 players taking to the field and seeing some fantastic rugby on display".
