Allianz Park to host U18 Champions Trophy
After two months of enthralling rugby, the inaugural U18 Champions Trophy reaches its conclusion at Allianz Park on Wednesday 26th November.
The Grammar School at Leeds and Millfield School have enjoyed hugely successful campaigns, playing a thrilling brand of rugby and overcoming some of the country’s strongest schools in the process.
Millfield director of rugby John Mallett, a former England prop and European Cup winner with Bath, says that the new 32-team competition has generated “extra excitement” for his players and that the whole school will be behind his boys for the final.
“Every game has been of very high quality and seen good, honest, open rugby,” he explained.
“Leeds have had a cracking season and will pose a tremendous challenge. They dominated their section and they will be a good side to play on a fast track at Allianz.
“To be in any final is a treat and we’re hoping to bring about 200 supporters with us, so it should be a brilliant occasion.”
Entry to Allianz Park will be FREE for this showpiece event, which kicks off at 2.30pm. The match will also be streamed live on englandrugby.com.
