Brown - 'We imposed ourselves'
Kelly Brown believes Saracens ‘imposed’ themselves on Munster, during their 33-10 win over the two-time European Champions.
Brown, who made his 100th appearance for the club in Saracens comprehensive win also praised the contribution of fellow back rower Billy Vunipola, after the Saracens No8 produced a stunning personal performance to win a deserved Man of the Match award.
Speaking after the game, Brown said: “They (Munster) are a great side, and a top European side so we knew that it would be an incredible challenge. It was up to us as players to go out there and really impose ourselves on them and we managed to that.
“I think we had a great plan from the coaches, and the boys just went out there and worked as hard as they could. We were physical, we were clinical and I felt it was a very good all round performance.”
On Vunipola, Brown added: “Billy really is incredible. The thing is he’s so young, so how far he can go in the game no-one knows, he was fantastic today. Along with myself, Jacques (Burger) and Ernie (Joubert) off the bench, we all have our own roles in that back row, and Billy is fulfilling his role brilliantly right now.”
