Captain George energised for Tigers test
Saracens have named a much changed side for Saturday’s trip to Leicester, with hooker Jamie George entrusted with the captaincy for the last game in the regular rounds of the Aviva Premiership.
George, who played for the England Saxons earlier this season, if relishing the test of playing the Tigers, and believes that Saturday’s Saracens team will be “full of energy” for the game at Welford Road.
"Obviously we have to be confident based on recent form and I think we are in a great place at the minute. It's great to see some fresh faces in the team for the weekend and I'm sure they'll be full of energy”, said the hooker.
"It's important to continue the momentum that we've built over the last few weeks. The main thing that we are looking for is the performance and have a performance that we are proud of."
On the Tigers, George added: "They are always a really physical team who pride themselves on their set piece so obviously that's going to be a huge challenge but one that we are really up for."
"Leicester are always a tough team to play especially at Welford road but we've put in some of our best performances there in the last few seasons. I guess that it will be because we realise the size of the challenge and know that if we’re not at the top of our game, a side like Leicester will punish you."
