Saracens in the City at the Honourable Artillery Company
Saracens have been bringing elite professional rugby to the heart of the City of London since 2010, with the innovative north London have played a series of fixture at the unique setting of the Honourable Artillery Company.
Since their first outing at the HAC in November 9, 201-0 against the USA Eagles, Sarries have previously played Ospreys, Gloucester, The Cornish Pirates, South African Barbarians, Connacht and Stade Francais at the famous grounds situated in the epicentre of the financial capital of the world.
For the game, Saracens install a grandstand on the south side of the ground and 20 individual marquees along the touchline, which traditionally generates a great buzz among the suited hordes.
The HAC has a strong rugby tradition. The HAC Rugby Club was founded in 1896. For many years after WW2 it ran three regular sides comprised solely of members from the Regiment. The Club joined the RFU leagues in the late 1980s and since the end of the '90s has competed in the Herts & Middlesex leagues.
