Earle & Itoje hoping to thrive at Bedford

Some of Saracens' brightest talent will be heading to Bedford Blues on duel registration for the 2014/15 season, writes Henry Fraser.

Nathan Earle, Matt Hankin, Maro Itoje, Aaron Morris, Nick Tompkins, Hayden-Thompson Stringer, and Scott Spurling will link up with Mike Rayer's men for the 2014/15 season. On the eve of their moves, lock forward Itoje, and winger or full-back Nathan Earle have spoken of their excitement.

Both players were heavily involved in England U20s victorious IRB Junior World Championship success in New Zealand during the summer and the Saracens academy duo are looking forward to continuing their development in Greene King Championship.

Lock forward Maro Itoje: "I'm really excited, Bedford are a top Championship club who are enriched with top players, so I'm sure I will learn a lot playing there and hopefully continue to improve."

Nathan Earle: "I am really looking forward to my time at Bedford. All I want is game time, the coaches saw the best opportunity for me to get game time playing at a high standard was at Bedford. I am just excited to play a different brand of rugby, and to see what another club is like. I just can’t wait to get started now."

Saracens lock forward Eoin Sheriff will also join the Blues  for the 2014/15 season on a season long loan.
