Falcons have our respect - Wray

Jackson Wray says Newcastle Falcons are a team to be feared in the Aviva Premiership, ahead of today’s clash with the resurgent north east outfit at Allianz Park.

Wray, who starts at No8 today, will be lining up against former Saracens players Adam Powell and Andy Saull in a game he believes will be ‘real’ test for his side.

Speaking ahead of the game, Wray said: “Preparation has been really good. We’ve taken a lot from last week, it’s important we move on from that disappointment and look ahead to the next challenge. We’ve done a very good job of taking what we needed to take from the Sale game and it’s been a great training week.

“Newcastle are going really well. The new coaching set-up that came in a while ago seems to have settled and they are a very good side. They are a dangerous side, with some very dangerous players, some familiar faces we know about and it will be a real test for us – we have given them a lot of respect this week in the build-up.”

He added: “It’s all about us, and how we go about our business. We’re looking forward to getting out there.”
