Gathering provides a 'special feeling' says De Kock
Saracens fans will be marching down to the home of Northampton Saints on Sunday to provide a memorable welcome for their side as they prepare for to take on Exeter Chiefs in the LV=Cup Final.
Fans going to the game meet outside Franklin’s Gardens at noon for a bite to eat and a few drinks, some live music and a chat with some of the non-playing Saracens players.
This will be followed by a march into the stadium to give the squad a welcome to remember ahead of Sunday’s LV=Cup final.
The Saracens ‘gatherings’ are something that the club have employed for a number of seasons now, and it is something that Saracens’ experienced scrumhalf Neil de Kock says is “great feeling” for the players.
“To get off the bus and having the supporters there waiting for us, cheering us in to the stadium is a great feeling, and hopefully the lads can give them something to celebrate on Sunday afternoon,” said the veteran halfback.
He added; “We’ve been in a couple of semi-finals and finals over the years; we had a couple of disappointing defeats last year, but the supporters keep coming, and keep supporting us, and hopefully they’ll come in great numbers on Sunday."
