Gill praises 'special' Figallo
Rhys Gill praised fellow front-rower Juan Figallo, after the Argentine international tighthead made his Saracens debut in Saracens’ 25-20 win against Harlequins.
Gill packed down alongside Figallo for the first time and was happy to see hooker Brett Sharman and Biyi Alo also win their first Saracens caps.
Speaking after the game, Gill said: “The poor guy has been waiting 13 months for this so Juan managed to get his aggression out today (laughs)! He’s a special player, a real special talent, so it was great to see him finally get out there in a Saracens shirt.
“We had some good pressure in the scrum, Juan did really well so did Brett (Sharman) when he came on, plus it was great to see Biyi Alo come on and do well.”
On today’s result Gill added; “It was good to get the win. It ended up a close contest so to come away with the ‘W’ was important. We’ll go back this week and prepare for a tough game in Neath, against the Ospreys next Friday.”
