With several of the Saracens’ Global Network clubs in action over the weekend, here is a round up of all the upcoming action:
Abu Dhabi Saracens
The 1st XV are now in training for the Dubai 7′s which starts in December. Abu Dhabi Saracens will have two warm up tournaments: the Eden Park 7′s in Abu Dhabi and Dubai on the two weekends prior to the Dubai 7′s.
The 2nd XV are still in action. They welcome the Sharjah Wanderers who are currently four places and nine points ahead of Abu Dhabi Saracens.
The Impala Saracens Sevens team are currently competing in the Singapore Cricket Club International Sevens. They have started the tournament with a solid 31-10 win against Sunny Bank.
The Kuala Lumpur Saracens first team return to action this weekend, but in non-competitive rugby. They face Royal Selangor Club in a pre-season match.
The juniors are continuing their ten a side rugby exploits. Two U12 teams plus an U13s outfit and an U14 team are taking part in the KGV 10′s.
This weekend Lelo Saracens welcome the current league leaders Wissol Kochebi, who have all six of their matches so far. The defending champions Lelo will be going into this match on a high after getting back to winning ways last weekend.
The recent winners of the Russia Sevens Championship are taking a rest this week, but Moscow Saracens have had five players called up to the Russia national team to take on Hong Kong on November 8.
São Paulo Saracens
The Brazilian Saracens outfit are currently preparing for the beginning of the sevens season. São Paulo Saracens have also had three players called up to the international squad.
Seattle Saracens welcome big rival Abbotsford to their home ground on Saturday.
Matt Trouville, captain of Seattle, said; “We know Abbotsford are a physical team who like to play direct so we’re going to have to match them in that area and play our game.”
Seattle will be without Olive Kilifi, Lou Stanfill and Shalom Suniula who are in the Eagles match day squad for the historic USA vs All Blacks encounter at Soldier Field. They will also be without speedy winger Tim Stanfill, who travelled with the Eagles as well.
Seattle Saracens Women will also be taking on Abbotsford, and will be looking to continue their fine form with a big win over their rivals.
After a rousing victory in the quarter finals of the Romanian Cup on Wednesday, Timisoara Saracens will take on Dinamo on Sunday, at a neutral ground in Bucharest, with the prize of a cup final up for grabs
The season might be over for Toa Saracens as a club, but the players are still working hard. Two Toa Saracens players have been selected for the national sevens team.
