Global Network Review
The Saracens Global Network have now gone five weekends unbeaten! That's 18 matches in total, across five countries. Chaeck out how the weekend unfolded for Saracens partner clubs:
Abu Dhabi Saracens
Gulf Top Six leaders Abu Dhabi Saracens’ unbeaten record remains intact, after a powerful display against the former champions of West Asia. The UAE Saracens outfit defeated Jebel Ali Dragons 38-3 to bring up their sixth win on the bounce.
Impala Saracens, Nairobi
A courageous display from Impala Saracens saw them beat Western Bulls 26-24 to keep their hopes of securing a Kenya Cup play-off place alive. The Kenyan Saracens side are currently lying in sixth place, with one fixture left in the season.
Kuala Lumpur Saracens
KL Saracens backed up their season opening win with a confident performance against SDAR Lions, defeating the travelling side 20-6 at the Baker Hughes Arena.
Lelo Saracens, Tbilisi
Lelo Saracens enjoyed a rest weekend from the Georgian Premier Division. Their next game will be against Jikebi Tbilisi on Saturday 21st February.
Lelo Saracens’ Lasha Khmaladze featured off the bench for Georgia, in their 10-15 win over Portugal.
Moscow Saracens are in pre-season preparing for the beginning of the Russian Professional Rugby League.
Sao Paulo Saracens
It’s Carnival week in Brazil, so there will be no rugby taking place until Wednesday. Sao Paulo Saracens will begin their Brazilian Sevens Championship qualifying campaign next weekend.
Seattle Saracens have another week to prepare for their second game of the Spring season. They ran out deserving winners in their season opener, defeating Castaway Wanderers 21-26, despite having a player sent off in the second half.
Seattle Saracens’ Pat Blair did well for the USA, as they finished fourth in the Las Vegas Sevens.
Timisoara Saracens have begun their pre-season. The SuperLiga Championship kicks off in April.
Three Timisoara Saracens players represented Romania in their 29-8 win over Spain in the Six Nations B match. Valentin Calafeteanu started at scrum half, with Valentin Poparlan at lock; and Flanker Stelian Burcea featured from the bench. Saracens’ Catalin Fercu also started at fullback.
Toa Saracens are in pre-season, preparing for the Tongan Premier Division.
