Global Network Review
The Saracens Global Network’s unbeaten run finally came to an end at the weekend – but not without a fight! Check out everything that happened across the globe:
Abu Dhabi Saracens
Gulf Top Six leaders Abu Dhabi Saracens defeated rivals Abu Dhabi Harlequins for the second time this season to stretch their unbeaten run to seven games. Saracens withstood a spirited Quins fightback to record a 34-26 victory and remain first in the Gulf Top Six.
Impala Saracens, Nairobi
Impala Saracens Kenya Cup play-off dream ended with a 25-24 loss to Total Nondies. A brave performance from the Gazelles saw them claw back the deficit to just a single point in the last five minutes. But Nondies’ defence held out, with the visitors taking the win. The loss was the first defeat the Saracens Global Network have suffered in six weekends, and sees Impala Saracens finish sixth place in the 2014-15 Kenya Cup.
Kuala Lumpur Saracens
There is no rugby in Malaysia this weekend due to the Lunar New Year Holidays. KL Saracens have won their first two games of the Liga KRS.
Lelo Saracens, Tbilisi
Lelo Saracens played out a thrilling draw with Jikebi Tbilisi. A topsy-turvey affair saw the match end all square at 15-15. The reigning Georgian champions remain third in the table.
Moscow Saracens are in pre-season preparing for the beginning of the Russian Professional Rugby League.
Sao Paulo Saracens
Sao Paulo Saracens qualified for the Brazil Super Sevens after finishing runners up in the Florianopolis Sevens. Sao Paulo Saracens won every match up until the final, where they narrowly lost to Pasteur 19-5.
