Global Network update
It was a busy weekend for Saracens Global Network sides, with no less that four teams in action across the globe.
The reigning Romanian champions, RCM Timisoara Saracens, have recorded their biggest win yet in this year’s Super Liga, beating bottom club Dinamo 54 – 10.
Timisoara scored eight tries and 47 unanswered points, after initially falling behind to the Super Liga basement dwellers.
Scrum half Victor Alexandru Dumitru was named man of the match as Timisoara consolidated second place in the league at the halfway point of the season, one point behind leaders Baia Mare.
They sit out the next round on Saturday and on 24 May they play Baia Mare away in the Super Liga derby, hoping avenge their only defeat this (19 – 13) away to the league leaders.
Elsewhere, Sao Paulo Saracens thrashed Paulista A rivals Wally's Louveira 79-13. Sao Paulo Saracens fly-half 'Japinha' bagged a hat-trick and kicked seven conversions for the home side as they maintained their position at the top of the championship with their fourth win in as many games.
In Kuala Lumpur the KL Saracens were betean 0-13 by rivals ORCA, whilst in Russia, the Moscow Saracens beat Metallurg 40-13.
