Global Weekend Review
Timisoara and Sao Paulo Saracens both made winning starts to their respective league campaigns and the Global Network enjoyed an unbeaten weekend.
Abu Dhabi Saracens
Abu Dhabi Saracens have some time off following their historic West Asia Cup win just over a week ago.
Impala Saracens II defeated Western Bulls 37-23 in a Entreprise Cup quarter-final. Saracens’ first team did not feature as their season is finished.
Kuala Lumpur Saracens
KL Saracens triumphed in a 36-5 win over 6 Ranger on Saturday. The victory means Sarries remain unbeaten in the league so far this season, winning all four fixtures to date.
Lelo Saracens came out on top in the Tiblisi derby, narrowly beating RC Locomotive 14-12. The win puts Lelo just two points adrift of leaders Bolnisi Kochebi with one game remaining before the playoffs. Saracens have put together a run of 6 games without defeat, losing just 1 game in their last 10.
Moscow Saracens are in pre-season preparing for the Russian Professional Rugby League.
Sao Paulo Saracens
Sao Paulo Saracens got their Paulista campaign off with a win, beating Jacarei 24-7 away from home in a confident display.
Seattle Saracens were in inspired form over the weekend as they dominated James Bay AA 71-0. The victory saw Saracens being awarded with the National Rugby News Challenge Cup. Seattle women had to dig deep for their victory on Saturday, beating Burnaby 43-36 in an epic encounter.
Timisoara Saracens got their league season underway with a bonus point win, overcoming CSA Steaua Bucharest 30-28 in what was a nail-biting finish. Timisoara sit in first place after the opening round of fixtures.
Toa Saracens are in pre-season, preparing for the Tongan Premier Division.
