Hargreaves looking ahead to Clermont

Alistair Hargreaves believes Saracens have plenty to work on before facing Clermont Auvergne in the European Champions Cup, after their 28-21 win against Gloucester at Allianz Park on Saturday afternoon.

Saracens skipper Hargreaves played a starring role in his sides three try win, scoring a try in the first half and creating Chris Ashton’s second half effort with a blistering line break.

Speaking after the game, Hargreaves said; “We’re happy with the win, but we know we have a lot to work on to face a team the calibre of Clermont Auvergne next week.

“It’s always important to bounce back from disappointments, and last week was certainly a set-back. I’m very happy to come away with win against a Gloucester side that’s been improving week-by-week."

He added; “As a pack I though we worked hard. I think we made hard work of it at times with our discipline, but we were 3-13 down at one point so to turn that around to win the game is great.”
