Inspired Wray praises collective effort

Jackson Wray praised Saracens forward dominance in his sides 34-24 win over Bath in round 14 of the Aviva Premiership.

Wray was a stand-out performer during the contest, with the barnstorming back rower edging Alex Goode for the Man of the Match award. The No8 was everywhere during the high octane clash between the Premiership top four rivals , excelling in attack with a series of piercing carries and also impressing with defence throughout the game.

Speaking after the win, Wray said: “We knew that it was going to be tough game today. The plan was to try and dominate up front, and I thought, as a pack we put in a really strong performance.

“It was really quick game. It was a lovely day and the pitch is perfect for running rugby. Bath were good today, and made us earn that win. We are very happy with the result.

“You look at the table, and the way it is, it’s very tight at the top at the moment. We need to get as many wins as we can and we needed to reverse the result from our game earlier this season.”

He added: “It’s a brilliant win and the four points that we needed.”
