Infante

Saracens is delighted to confirm the signing of Leanne Infante for the 2022/23 season.

The England scrum-half, who has vast experience at domestic and international level is returning to StoneX Stadium for a second spell after originally joining the club back in 2013.

The 28-year-old, who is a full time England player has 51 caps for her country and has had enormous success with the Red Roses, including making it all the way to the World Cup Final back in 2017.

Infante, who has had an impressive spell with Bristol Bears is now ready to return to the Champions, and she will add further depth to the number nine shirt alongside the likes of Ella Wyrwas at StoneX.

Infante is excited to be returning to North London next season.

“To be returning to the club that I originally kicked off my senior career with is hugely exciting. Saracens have been dominant over the past five years so to be joining a squad with the calibre of players they have is going to be a huge challenge but one I’m looking forward to.”

Head Coach Alex Austerberry is convinced that Infante will have a huge impact at StoneX.

Leanne is a player of the highest calibre who knows what is means to play for Saracens having started her career off at the club. It is fantastic addition to the group and with her energy, experience and consistent high quality play there is no doubt she will drive us forward to be better. I am excited to see how her game will evolve and develop in what promises to be a fantastic few seasons.

To have the opportunity to work with Leanne again is exciting and I look forward to her leadership influencing the group both on and off the field.”
