Sarah McKenna and Marlie Packer return to starting XV
Both teams are unbeaten this season
Saracens Women’s only defeat last season came at Twickenham Stoop
“We’re under no illusion that Harlequins-Saracens is one of the biggest games of the season” – Marlie Packer
Lotte Clapp will captain Saracens Women for the 50th time in the Tyrrells Premier 15s in Saturday’s top of the table clash with Harlequins Women (KO 15H00).
Red Roses internationals Sarah McKenna and Marlie Packer return to the starting XV for the trip to Twickenham Stoop after being rested against DMP Sharks. They come in for Georgie Lingham and Kat Evans respectively, with both players moving to the bench.
There are also two changes to the front row with Mackenzie Carson replacing May Campbell at hooker and Jeani Layola starting at prop in place of Rocky Clark, who joins Campbell among the replacements.
The rest of the starting XV from the 69 – 12 win over DMP Sharks stays the same, the only other changes being positional with Clapp moving back onto the wing to accommodate McKenna’s return at fullback and Rachel Laqeretabua moving from left wing to right wing.
This Saturday’s match in south-west London will be the first time the two sides have met since the 2018/19 TP15s Final where Saracens came out on top 33 – 17.
In last season’s fixture at The Stoop, Saracens lost out by just three points in their only defeat of the season.
Both teams have made unbeaten starts to the season with Harlequins currently a point ahead in the table due to an extra try bonus point. They defeated Wasps FC Ladies at Twyford Avenue last weekend, 39 – 13.
