“We’re going to have to work a lot. It’s going to be down to our work-rate.” – Eloise Hayward

Saracens Women take on Loughborough Lightning on Saturday 5 October with six changes to the starting XV from last Sunday’s 46 – 0 win over Richmond Women.

Rocky Clark comes into the starting line-up and will pack down alongside Hannah Botterman and Mackenzie Carson in the front row. The Canadian international moves back to hooker after her two try performance in the back row against Richmond.

Lauren Newman retains her place in the second row after coming in as a late replacement last week for Rosie Galligan, who is still unavailable due to illness.

Kat Evans comes into the backrow and forms a dynamic trio alongside Vicky Fleetwood and Marlie Packer.

The backline is the same as the one that started the trip to Bristol Bears Women in the opening round with Eloise Hayward, Hannah Casey and Rachel Laqeretabua coming back into the starting team.

Libby Lockwood and Sarah Bebbington are rewarded for their form in the Dev Team and come onto the bench this Saturday.

The home team lost to Bristol Bears Women last week, 27 – 10, but can call upon the likes of England internationals Katy Daley-McLean, Emily Scarratt and Lark Davies.

Saracens Women won last season’s match at Loughborough University, 31 – 28, thanks to a last minute try by Hannah Botterman.
