McCall hails 'relentless' performance
Mark McCall praised his Saracens side after they stunned Harlequins at The Stoop to win 39-0 in a convincing display.
The Saracens director of rugby hailed his side’s energy and commitment as they brushed aside an out of sorts Harlequins side in clinical fashion.
“We felt that last Saturday against Wasps at Twickenham we were lacklustre,” said McCall.
“We lacked what we normally have in terms of energy and life in the team. That was thing we most wanted tonight and I thought we got all the game. I thought we were pretty relentless, and because of that we were able to build a lot of pressure today and we got the win on the back of that.”
McCall added; "That was probably the youngest pack we've had out there in the five years I've been at the club. For me it wasn't our emerging players against their experienced players. We have guys like Will Fraser, George Kruis, Jackson Wray and Jamie George, they've all emerged already. They needed to prove that tonight, and I think they did".
