Mark McCall has praised his Saracens squad, after they recorded two victories in an action-packed weekend.
On Friday evening, a youthful Saracens side recorded a fine victory in South Wales, as they battled horrendous conditions to turnover Pro 12 leaders the Ospreys 9-21 in the LV=Cup, then 41 hours later Saracens faced South African side Western Province and capped off a fine weekend with a resounding six try victory over the Cape side.
Speaking after Sunday’s game; “We have had some players away on international, so it has been a challenging weekend. There were players who came off the bench against Western Province who played on Friday night, so it was a big ask for them and we’re grateful to them for all their efforts.
“It just shows that the club is in a healthy state, that we can deliver those kind of performances and record two wins this weekend."
He added; “There’s a lot of energy and a great vibe around the club at the moment.”
