McCall proud of his table toppers
Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall spoke of his pride securing top spot in the Aviva Premiership after Saracens ran out convincing 44-20 winners over the Worcester Warriors.
In the process, Saracens broke Premiership record for points accumulated in season with one game to go in the regular rounds and McCall paid tribute to his sides consistency throughout the year.
"To win 19 games out of 21 in a season, and to score 85 points is a great achievement," said McCall.
"When we started we wanted to be a really consistent club and there's evidence that we are getting there. It's been a wonderful effort by everyone. You've got be proud about some things, so to have finished top of the tree again is a good thing. We've got more wins than last year, scored double the amount of tries probably, so it shows a real sign of progress.
On today's game McCall added; "To come back down to earth and play a game like this, after this weekend can be tough, so it's great that players fronted up and got the job done today. We were made to work pretty hard by a good Worcester side".
