A dream season for Adams-Hale
It may take a while for Ralph Adams-Hale to take in the season he has had.
The Academy product earned his first senior cap in the Premiership Rugby Cup back in October before coming off the bench for his Gallagher Premiership debut against Wasps five weeks later.
He scored his first league try at Bristol Bears in April and now has a Premiership winners medal for his efforts.
Adams-Hale was introduced to the Twickenham fray with Saracens behind to Exeter Chiefs but three scores in the final 20 minutes turned the game around.
The 21-year-old, who had his girlfriend and parents in attendance, says it’s a campaign he won’t forget in a hurry.
“I can’t really believe it to be fair!” he said.
“It hasn’t quite sunk in that at the start of the season I hadn’t had a senior cap. I’ve been at the club for three years in the Academy and now I’ve had my first senior cap, my first Prem appearance and to be involved in the final has ended a hell of a season!”
Adams-Hale singled out two people in particular for his rise from the Academy to the first team.
“Adam Powell and Ian Peel have driven me on. Those two have pushed me and really believed in me; that’s what I need, I need that confidence to be ‘I can be involved… I can do it’ and those two have given me the responsibility to help build my confidence and into the team.”
