Crossdale delighted with three consecutive wins
Ali Crossdale feels Saracens Storm have made improvements each one of their wins after making it three in three Premiership Rugby Shield matches against Harlequins.
The winger dotted down the Men in Black’s third of the evening as they saw off their London rivals 35-17 at Allianz Park.
A penalty try and scores from Sione Vailanu and Ben Earl ensured a third bonus point in successive matches and moved Adam Powell’s side above Quins into second place in the Southern Conference.
“We’re really, really happy,” Crossdale said.
“We had a bit of a dodgy start to the block but to bounce back by winning three games in a row is fantastic.
“The main thing is we’ve improved in every game. We know we had work-ons and there’s still lots to go before we head into the Premiership Rugby Cup.
“We’ve got three good wins under our belt and there’s still lots to work on which is a good way to be.”
Crossdale’s try was in similar vain to Liam Williams’ first in Saracens win over Bath on Saturday, a phase of slick hands from left to right.
The swift attack ended with the England Under-20 international diving over in the corner and he was quick to praise his teammates for their efforts in making it happen.
“The scrum was dominant throughout the game and we managed to get the free kick, then the boys reacted really well and it was just the finish to be honest.
“I’m just happy to get the ball down but it was a great team effort to get in that position.”
