Duncan Taylor Says Saracens 'Excited' About Wasps Semi Final

With preparations under way for the Champions Cup quarter final at the Madjeski on Saturday excitement is building in the Sarries camp as Duncan Taylor explains.

“It’s been really good it’s been really positive” said Duncan of the team’s preparations this week. “The sun’s been shining which is always nice and the boys have been enjoying training.”

On Saturday Saracens will come up against an in form Wasps side who defeated Exeter with a last minute converted try in the quarter finals and who inflicted a heavy defeat upon Saracens at Allianz Park earlier this season. The challenge posed however is something that Saracens are trying to take in their stride. “Every week to be honest has been a test and this week’s no different” said Duncan. “They had a massive result against us the last time we played we just need to make sure that we stick to our game plan this week, that we go out there and we express ourselves and enjoy playing in this big occasion and see where that gets us.”

With a place in the final in Lyon at stake this is perhaps the biggest game of the season so far for Sarries and it is one the squad are looking forward to as Taylor explains: “It’s obviously a massive game this week and everyone’s really excited and looking forward to it so we’re just making sure we’re getting out detail right and we’ve been training hard to make sure that we’ve prepared as best we can for the game.”
