George hoping to build on Gloucester display
Jamie George is hoping Saracens can produce a similar standard of performance which blew away Gloucester in the upcoming weeks.
The Men in Black scored five tries on their way to victory and moved top of the Gallagher Premiership table with maximum points.
Sarries face Bath at Allianz Park and then a London derby against Harlequins before testing themselves in the Heineken Champions Cup for the first time this season on 14th October.
“In the first three games, Gloucester have been incredible,” George said.
“We knew we were going to be up against a good, physical team, a well-coached team and we set the stall out early doors and played the best rugby we’ve played all season.
“Hopefully we can play like that in the next few games now.”
Saracens fourth bonus-point win of the campaign was a special one for George.
The England hooker made his 200th appearance for the club and he’s relishing the opportunity to earn more caps for the side he grew up supporting.
“It’s amazing to be able to do it with such a special group and to be able to have my family here was great. It was a special occasion.
“Here’s to the next 200! I don’t think so; I don’t think my knees could hold 200 but I’m looking forward to a few more!”
