Saracens will have an Olympic champion in their ranks this season after Fiji won the inaugural men's rugby sevens beating Great Britain 43-7 to claim gold.
Summer signing Save Rawaca, who was in strong form until a hand injury ruled him out of the Fijian’s semi-final win over Japan and the Olympic final against Team GB, will link up with Mark McCall’s double-winning side after a post-Olympic break. He will head to north London as a National hero in his native Fiji after he helped the Pacific Island nation to their first ever Olympic medal.
Chris Wyles was Saracens other representative in the ground-breaking event in Rio, with the Saracens wing part of Mike Friday’s USA team.
