GoldFish to headline Sevens and the City at Allianz Park
Electronica duo GoldFish are the headline live music act at this summer's Sevens and the City festival at the home of Saracens.
The South African duo Dom Peters and David Poole have a huge global following and will be on stage at Allianz Park on Saturday, July 1.
Their career highlights so far include performances at Glastonbury, South By South West in Texas, Get Loaded in the Park on Clapham Common and Ibiza residencies. Tracks like We Come Together have been downloaded and viewed millions of times by their fans.
Sevens and the City is a multisport and music event curated by former Saracens and England rugby stars Matt Stevens and David Strettle.
“We’re delighted that GoldFish will be headlining at Allianz Park and they will take the event to a whole new level,” said Stevens.
“They’ve got a big fan base in London - particularly among the South African community here - and they’ll be a great fit with the relaxed party vibe we want to create."
Sevens and the City is a multisports festival staged at Allianz Park in NW4 where the action includes rugby sevens tournaments for every standard plus netball, seven-a-side cricket, five-a-side football, dodgeball, a Summer Slam fitness competition and coaching clinics for kids.
There's a superstar charity rugby game for the Worldwide Currencies Cup on the Friday night featuring the likes of England’s Iain Balshaw and Mark Cueto, South Africa’s John Smit and Neil de Kock and Australia’s Justin Harrison.
The great live music all weekend is headlined by GoldFish on Saturday and there’s also camping, glamping, bars and food.
