HITZ to host Pavilion Enrichment Day

On Thursday 20th October 2016 a local Pupil Referral Unit School, Pavilion, will set up class in Allianz Park for the day.

Pavilion is the pupil referral unit (PRU) for Barnet.  PRU’s are specifically organised to provide education for children who are excluded, sick, or otherwise unable to attend a mainstream or special maintained school.

The students will participate in a variety of enrichment sessions that have been developed to showcase the four tenets of Saracens Rugby Club: Honesty, Discipline, Work Rate and Humility.

By participating in these workshops we aim to help the students understand the ethos of the club and understand why this makes Saracens the most successful rugby club in Europe and how employing these four tenets can help their own personal development to become the best they can be.
On site workshops will take place covering such aspects as Health and Safety delivered by the Fire Brigade, Football Skills with Barnet FC, Tug of War, Motocross skills and discipline, Rugby Skills and confidence and communication sessions delivered by Saracens staff.

The day is hosted as part of the HITZ programme which falls under the Education and Employability pillar of the Saracens Sport Foundation.

HITZ is a rugby inspired personal and social development programme delivered to 11-19 year olds.  Both within schools and at Allianz Park.  These programmes provide a platform for these young people to enhance their life skills by developing their confidence, motivation and communication skills to empower them to create and achieve a positive step forward in life.

The HITZ Learning Academy, based at Allianz Park, runs four days a week.  The programme for disadvantaged 16-19 year olds, who are currently NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) delivers education alongside the personal and social development aspect.

We aspire to ensure all attending the HITZ Learning Academy achieve positive progressions both personally, academically and in future working opportunities.

We are always looking to further expand our network of opportunities so if you feel this is something you may be able to assist with or to find out more about the HITZ programme, please contact:
