I didn't really know what to do! - Judge
The delight was written all over his face, and all of his teammates’, when Christian Judge trundled through for first Saracens try against Cardiff Blues on Sunday.
The prop, on loan from Cornish Pirates, crashed on to a short pop from Nick Tompkins and raced to the line, going over via an acrobatic tumble.
It rounded off a superb second-half Sarries display. The Men in Black dotted down six times - adding to Richard Wigglesworth’s early effort – to overcome a five-point half-time deficit.
It was Mark McCall’s side at their free-flowing best and Judge says the squad are always out to raise their performance in every game.
On his try, the 25-year-old said: “I got the ball, saw a bit of space, didn’t really know what to do but just put my foot down and managed to score so lucky day for me I guess!”
He added: “We’re hugely pleased. After half-time we felt like we had more to give and we came out with real intent in the second half.
“We always know within ourselves we can push ourselves to the next level in this competition and in the league as well. We’re always trying to step up.
“The message at half-time was that we could take it up a level and we had more to give; I think we did that pretty well.”
