I’ll have to get a season ticket! - Myers
Gaining a new batch of supporters is one of the main points of focus when Saracens play a home game at a different location to Allianz Park, and one man in particular is definitely a fan after Saturday’s win over Harlequins.
Britain’s Got Talent winner Tokio Myers performed at London Stadium prior to the match on the weekend and his new song, specifically written for Sarries, welcomed the Men in Black to the pitch.
The track named ‘Animal’ will be played as Mark McCall’s men enter the field at every home game and Myers is delighted with how the club has received his sound.
On playing at London Stadium, he told Sarries TV: “It was amazing; the energy was super cool from the beginning to the end. I’m really happy with how it went – it was awesome.
“I was happy with the sound and to hear the track in a stadium like that… the subs were booming!”
Myers continued: “It was my first rugby match so I’ll have to get a season ticket now!
“They gave me one of the shirts which has my name on the back with number one so that’s definitely going to be put in a nice place in my studio.
“I think it’s really cool they love the track that much and want to use it every time they come out.
“We worked hard on the track and you can hear the energy of the guitars, the drums and the way it builds.
“It’s definitely something that’ll get people going and I’m just happy Saracens latched on to it and actually want it as the track they go on to the field to.”
