I’ve enjoyed every minute so far - Judge

Christian Judge has settled into life well at Saracens.

The prop arrived on loan from Cornish Pirates at the end of September and made his Sarries debut against Bath in the Gallagher Premiership.

The 25-year-old will remain at the club until the end of 2018 and he’s keen to make every second count and learn as much as he can.

He said: “It’s an unbelievable opportunity for me and thankfully Cornish Pirates were really sound about the whole thing and said I could come here on loan which I’m very thankful to them for.

“Since I’ve arrived everyone has been really friendly, and the environment is really enjoyable. When you come into a Premiership environment, especially one like Saracens, it’s a bit daunting but the whole club has been hugely welcoming, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it so far.

“A couple of years ago I was playing in National Two and then my first scrum session I’m scrumming against Mako, Jamie, Vinnie and all these guys who play international rugby which is an invaluable learning experience because they’ve played at the very top level. You’re scrumming and mauling against guys who have done it on the world stage and there’s always things you can take away from that.”

Saracens face Leicester Tigers on Saturday in the Premiership Rugby Cup – a tournament that allows clubs to blood youngsters as well as give squad players much needed game time.

Judge is relishing the chance to add to his two Men in Black appearances and can’t wait to get back there in front of the Allianz Park crowd.

He said: “Having been here a few weeks now, I’m a bit more settled in to we want to play and stuff like that so for me I’m just looking forward to the next couple of weeks and hopefully this cup competition allows me to get some good game time and get stuck in.

“At the end of the day we all just want to play rugby and I’m just relishing the opportunity. The biggest thing for us to focus on is what we do best and for myself I need make sure I know my role and do my job to the best of my ability.

“Whether we’re up against a young guy or an experienced one this afternoon we’re getting the opportunity to go out there in a Saracens shirt and put our mark on the game which is something I’m looking forward to.”
