Saracens - Love to Barn Dance

Love to Barn Dance

On Friday 9th June, the Saracens Sport Foundation hosted our first Barn dance, for participants and friends of our over 50s programmes. We are always looking to add fun events to our social calendar and the barn dance was certainly that!

With over 120 guests, the evening started with a delicious choice of food, including pulled pork baps and chilli, to really get into the barn dance spirit. The drinks were flowing when our barn dance caller, Alan May, took charge of the evening, leading an array of different dances. With so many different instructions, the laughter was often as loud as the music as our guests enjoyed their evening, galloping and do-si-doing around the Allianz banqueting suites.

Meanwhile, we were busy choosing the winner of the ‘Best Dressed’ award and we even sold out of raffle tickets, with so many prizes to be won.

This is definitely an event we will see added to our yearly social calendar, which we are sure our guests will be thrilled about!

The food was great, the caller was first class and the venue terrific.  We hope you will run another one.” Diane Baker

We run 35 classes for over 50s every week, across Barnet and Hertfordshire, including Dance, Pilates and Nordic Walking. Sessions are not just about getting active, but meeting new people with social and performance opportunities offered regularly.
