Love to Dancers Looking Forward To Wembley After Allianz Park Half Time Performance
On Saturday 5th March 2016 as Saracens took on Northampton Saints, we saw 70 over 50s sway and shimmy on the pitch at half time, loving every minute as they danced to Queens Don’t Stop Me Now.
When the routine came to an end and the crowd cheered, all of the dancers wanted to do it all again. One of our ladies who performed on the day said "I loved every minute and can’t wait to do it again, I have the buzz now". The Love to Dancers now can’t wait to grace the side-lines pre-match at Wembley on Saturday 16th April when Saracens take on Harlequins. They will be performing two dance routines while Rock Choir sing live.
Speaking after the performance Love to Dance developement officer Clare Bellchambers said "It so great that as a club that we can offer amazing performances opportunities for our Love to Dancers and, as a programme, it's great to show spectators that dance is for everyone no matter the age!"
Our Love to Dance programme is aimed at getting over 50s active and social by using dance and, with 24 dance classes running throughout Hertfordshire and North London, we now have over 300 participants weekly attending our classes.
