Lozowski settling in at Saracens
New recruit Alex Lozowski is eager to get started with Saracens in the upcoming 2016/17 season with the summer signing from Wasps looking to kick-on at Allianz Park.
The 23-year old is hoping that joining the reigning Aviva Premiership and Champions Cup champions can aid his development as one of the country’s most promising up-and-coming outside halves.
Lozowski said: "As a rugby player you want to play for the best teams and, when I decided to join, Saracens were the champion team in England and more recently the champion team in Europe as well.
"I want to play my part, take a bit of responsibility and, when I get my chance to play, give it my all and put in 100 per cent effort."
The promising fly-half joins Saracens to bolster the club’s No10 ranks with legendary playmaker Charlie Hodgson having retired from the sport to take up the position as head of recruitment the club, and Nils Mordt having also exited Allianz Park in the summer.
"I used to watch Charlie and admire the way he played," he said. "I suppose he's pretty much irreplaceable, but I will do my best to come in and try and fill the gap he's left. He's still around so hopefully I can pick his brains and learn a few things off him."
