Morris talks grubbers and senior appearances

A lot of have people have commented on Dom Morris’ contribution to Saracens second try against Sale Sharks last time out.

The inside centre broke the line at speed before putting boot to ball for Ali Crossdale to speed on to and he in turn offloaded for Matt Gallagher to touch down.

It was a unique kick from Morris so what went through his mind during the execution?

He said: “When I broke the line, I was looking for boys around me; I heard a lot of voices, but I couldn’t see anyone!

“I just saw a lot of space and I just knew Ali is rapid, so I just put it in front of him and it turned out better than I thought it would!

“It’s was natural instinct really and I’m glad it paid off.”

Morris has impressed throughout the Premiership Rugby Cup and has received plaudits further than his grubber.

Like many others, it’s been a chance for the academy youngster to establish himself at first team level and he’s taken it in his stride.

“I’ve really enjoyed the whole experience,” he said.

“It’s made me realise what I can have so it’s made me want to work harder. I feel like I need to be playing well and impress the coaches in this period, so I can push on and hopefully get a few goes in the Prem.”
