Paulo Saracens beat Pe Vermelho to qualifies for Brazilian elite in 2018
Bandeirantes Saracens' flawless campaign was rewarded with an early qualification for the Brazilian main division next season.
Saracens will be back to the Brazilian Rugby elite in 2018! It took only four rounds and a perfect campaign to place Band Saracens among the eight best teams in the tournament which will grant a spot in the new upoming format of the Brazilian Rugby Championship.
Sarries faced Pe Vermelho, vice leaders on group A and a tough opponent on the Taca Tupi debut. On the first twenty minutes, they showed once again to be a valiant side, but as the game progressed, Bandeirantes' superior skills and phisicality proved too strong for them to match. Sarries led by 16 points on the end of the first half and completely dominated the last half, adding 33 points to the scoreboard, finishing with a 59-17 win.
Now that the first goal is accomplished, Sarries focus their strength on getting the title. The team is only one win away of the semifinals, and they will meet Rio Branco on the next round, a side they have already beaten twice in 2017.
