Preview: Richmond Women (A)

Founded: 1986
Head Coach: Jonathan Griffin
Last Season: 7th
Website: Richmond Women

Richmond head into round four following their first win over the season. The Londoners scored seven tries against Worcester Valkyries to record a 43-12 victory. Their games previous to the one at Sixways have been tight contests, losing out to Loughborough Lightning by three points on the opening day before another defeat at home against Firwood Waterloo Ladies.

Rich finished seventh in the Tyrrells Premier 15s last season but they are used to success having won the English title on five occasions between 2010 and 2016.

Head coach Jonathan Griffin made his goals for the 2018/19 season crystal clear ahead of the campaign, stating their articulated aim was to secure a top four finish and they added Jess Wooden, who was part of Harlequins’ march to the Premier 15s final last term, and Wasps centre Vicki Jackson in a bid to do so.
