Preview: Saracens in 'buoyant' mood ahead of Leicester test - Barritt
Saracens are eagerly anticipating their trip to Welford Road for Sunday’s Aviva Premiership clash against Leicester Tigers, says Brad Barritt.
The influential Saracens centre believes that spirits in the north Londoners squad are high as they head into an important block of games for the Allianz Park outfit who sit at the top of the Premiership table after 16 rounds.
Speaking ahead of the game, Barritt said: “The boys are in a very buoyant mood. We’ve had a fantastic week’s preparation off the back of a great week for the team in New York. Leicester are a team we have a lot of respect for, the boys always relish playing at Welford Road as it’s a fantastic stadium with a great atmosphere. The guys are really eager to put in a big performance.”
“It’s a month of big games for the Club, culminating in what is probably the biggest game we’ve had at home for Saracens, a home quarter final against Northampton. It’s something that we’ve worked very hard for and we’re going to use these next three big Aviva Premiership games hopefully to put some points on the board so we can head into the end of the season all guns blazing. We’re hugely excited with the next few weeks but it’s all about this weekend when we get on the pitch. We have the next match mentality at the club, and we need to make sure that we’ll be on it once again this Sunday against a very strong Tigers side.”
