Rhodes on 'physical battle' at Wembley
Try-scorer Michael Rhodes admitted facing Harlequins was a tough challenge after the two sides battled it out in their sixth Derby Day encounter at Wembley Stadium.
In front of a 71,324 strong crowd at the home of English football Saracens booked their place in the Aviva Premiership semi-finals with a 40-19 victory over London rivals Harlequins. Chris Ashton, Schalk Brits, Rhodes and Alex Goode all crossing the try line under the arch.
“I don’t score many no matter where we play so to get one here was really good and a nice way to end a good performance from the boys” said the flanker.
“Quins are a really hard side to play against. We always seem to have real physical battles against them and today was no different. To come away with the bonus point is a great thing and we needed it going into the last couple of games in the Premiership so really proud of the boys and a great result for us.”
