Saracens announce Academy intake
Saracens are pleased to announce the latest Academy intake for the 2016/17 season.
Six players will join the Club’s senior academy this summer, with England U18s trio Ben Earl, Jack Nay and Nick Isiekwe joining Ali Crossdale, Al Gliksten and Danny Cutmore due to link up with the club this summer.
Ben Earl is a highly-rated back rower from Tonbridge School in Kent. He has featured for the Saracens Storm this season and can play in both the number six and number eight jersey will aplomb.
Jack Nay is another loose forward set to join the Academy ranks, having impressed in recent Saracens Storm fixtures and has played for England U18s in the recent Six Nations Championship.
Haileybury student Nick Isiekwe will hope to follow in the footsteps of Jamie George, Matt Hankin and Chris Wyles by making the transition from the Hertfordshire College to Saracens. The promising lock forward is another Academy youngster who has represented England at age group levels.
Fly-half or full-back Ali Crossdale will link up with Saracens after spells at Sale Sharks and Newcastle Falcons. The former Sedbergh student will be joined by scrum-half Al Gliksten and lock forward Danny Cutmore next season.
