Saracens Chairman Wray delights in Farrell contract news
Saracens Chairman Nigel Wray has hailed the news of Owen Farrell’s five-year contract renewal after the Allianz Park side announced that 25-year old outside-half has committed his long-term future to the club.
Farrell, the England and British & Irish Lions fly-half, will remain at the club that he has called ‘home’ since the age of 14, signing a five-year deal that will see him extend his stay with Saracens until 2022. Reacting to the news of Farrell’s new deal, Wray spoke of his “delight” to have the World Class playmaker commit his future to the Men in Black on the eve of the new season.
“We're all absolutely delighted that Owen has re-signed for another five years,” beamed Wray, “not just because he's a great player but also because he's at the very heart of everything we stand for.
“We have an outstanding group of young players who I believe have the opportunity to achieve great things together.”
