Saracens enjoy wheelchair rugby success
Saracens enjoyed success at the inaugural BT Wheelchair Rugby Youth Tournament at the Copper Box Arena on Sunday 11th October.
The Saracens team who were made up of pupils from Pinewood School in Hertford are part of a Wheelchair Rugby youth development programme run by GB Wheelchair Rugby (GBWR) in partnership with the reigning Premiership Champions.
The BT Wheelchair Rugby Youth Tournament was staged as a precursor to the World Wheelchair Rugby Challenge which is taking place between from the 12th to 16th of October at the Copper Box Arena in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
With wins over a team representing Harlequins amongst others the Saracens team were victorious which topped off a memorable day for all involved. The aim is to now use this event as a platform from which to establish other satellite Wheelchair Rugby clubs across Hertfordshire and North London as part of the GBWR and Saracens Youth Development Programme.
Congratulations to all involved.
