Saracens Name Side for Clermont


Saracens have named their side to face ASM Clermont Auvergne for Sunday’s round three European Rugby Champions Cup clash at Allianz Park, kick-off 15h15.

Alex Goode will make his 50th Champions Cup appearance for Saracens in a re-run of the 2017 Murrayfield final. The Sarries full-back will line-up alongside Chris Wyles and Sean Maitland in the back-three whilst at centre, Brad Barritt skippers the side alongside Marcelo Bosch. In the halves, Owen Farrell starts at fly-half with Richard Wigglesworth named at scrumhalf.

Up front, Mako Vunipola, Jamie George and Vincent Koch are named in the front-row, with Will Skelton coming into the side at lock forward to partner George Kruis. With Maro Itoje ruled out of the game with a jaw injury, Schalk Burger comes into the back-row at openside flanker with Calum Clark shifting to blindside flanker – Jackson Wray starts at No8.
